A Night at the Opera

»I love the opera!« – says clarinettist and Hamburg resident Sabine Grofmeier. With this Hamburg serenade concert, she wants to share her love and passion for this unique genre with her audience. Guest artists on stage will be tenor Mehrzad Montazeri and pianist Marina Komissartchik, who also lives in Hamburg. Fantastic arias for clarinet, tenor and piano will be performed, newly arranged by and with clarinettist Sabine Grofmeier and accompanied on the piano by Marina Komissartchik as a chamber music trio.

Rock the Opera

Mit Rock the Opera gelingt Dirigent Friedemann Riehle das Unmögliche: Eine perfekte Verbindung von Klassik und Rock. Riehle konzipierte das Programm ursprünglich für seine Konzerte in der Wiener Staatsoper. Mit dem Orchester katapultiert er Rockmusik in eine neue Dimension und bewahrt zugleich die Atmosphäre und Kraft der originalen Songs. Hervorragende Rockstimmen, eine Band und ein grosses Sinfonieorchester garantieren einen Abend, der in Erinnerung bleibt. Mit neuem Programm kehrt Rock the Opera ins Gewandhaus zurück. Rock The Opera

The Symphonic Rock Orchestra blasts 50 years of rock hits into a new dimension with spectacular orchestral sounds. The show has been playing almost every August since 2015 at the Vienna State Opera and throughout the season at many music centers across Europe. Three exceptional female vocalists and star guest Giacomo Voli bridge two seemingly incompatible worlds. Along with the Symphonic Rock Orchestra from Prague and drummer František Hönig, who already played with Frank Zappa, they take the audience into a musical world where everything is possible.
