The Wilmersdorf Chamber Choir celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Together with pianist Philip Mayers, they present works from the 19th to 21st centuries in various instrumentations: mixed choir a cappella and with piano, as well as women's choir and solo singing with piano and piano solo. Hear about the fate of a water fairy, an elf, and the storm wind of menacing spirits, before concluding the evening with meditative sounds.

Every 33 years, the 12 best singers in the world assemble in a secret grotto close to the picturesque town of Taormina on the east coast of Sicily. There, they celebrate a joyous festival of voices from sunset to sunrise. Songs of different styles and cultures ring out and blend into an energetic artistic synthesis. André Heller brought to life a 70-minute excerpt from this self-conceived mythical ritual in an imaginative film together with the Oscar award winner Pepe Danquart in 2002. The prima donnas are thereby represented by international stars, such as the opera singer Jessye Norman, the double Grammy award winner and jazz legend Dee Dee Bridgewater, the Israeli singer Achinoam Nini known as Noa and the Portuguese Fado singer Cristina Branco. Twinkle Concert XS / Elfi Baby Concert

Parents with babies up to one year old and expectant mothers can make themselves comfortable on round baby blankets, and listen to the string sounds of Ensemble Resonanz. Familiar melodies invite the audience to sing along. Pram parking spaces and baby changing units are available both in the city districts and in the Elbphilharmonie. »Twinkle Concerts« is the series of children’s concerts at the Elbphilharmonie that brings the most successful productions from all over Europe to Hamburg. At times funny and playful, at others thoughtful and reflective, the series introduces children to the world of music in a special and unique way.
