The Cuarteto Rotterdam, a leading European tango ensemble, is praised for its technical brilliance and interpretive depth. With bandoneón, violin, piano, and double bass, they deliver a sound experience between tradition and modernity. Joined by singer Noelia Tomassi and dancers Andrés Santel and Celeste Medina, they present a wide repertoire of tango history. From Amsterdam to Buenos Aires, they've captivated audiences with their passion and virtuosity, embracing both traditional and contemporary tango, including Astor Piazzolla's works.
Due to the high demand, we are organising an exclusive Tango Late Night following the chamber concert "Argentinian Tango"! The Argentinian tangos from the first concert will be supplemented by further tangos in a varied line-up.
Accordionist Félicien Brut with four musician friends of his generation form an apt quintet for this tribute to nuevo tango, a style sparked by Piazzolla in the 1960s.
Hardly any other dance is so sensual, melancholic and at the same time full of joie de vivre – this concert, titled »Viva el tango«, is devoted entirely to the »Tango argentino«. In the spotlight: Carlos Gardel, one of the most brilliant tango composers of the 1930s, and Astor Piazzolla, who decisively developed the virtuosic Tango Nuevo of the 1950s. The highlight of the evening: a thrilling dance performance by renowned artists Karin Solana and Andres Sautel.

Flamenco and Tango Argentino united in one poetic night... Both arts – at the same time light and difficult, comprehensible and enigmatic, modern and timeless – alternate, touch each other, merge with each other. The thirteen artists seduce their audience with the raw beauty of flamenco and touch their innermost being with the yearning melodies of Tango Argentino. Authentic and very personal, they take their audience on a journey through the two centuries-old and yet eternally young arts of flamenco and tango.
