This concert features Glasunov's "The Seasons" ballet cycle, Mahler's Piano Quartet Scherzo (arranged by Schnittke), and Tchaikovsky's "The Seasons" in a wind arrangement. The performance blends music and dance, highlighting the cyclical nature of the seasons and culminating in a celestial apotheosis.

The male ensemble shines with its warm-toned guitars that deeply touch the hearts of listeners. Fado is mainly associated with Lisbon, but Coimbra has its own tradition with an all-male ensemble and differently tuned guitars. Its origins may be from Brazilian or Lisbon students, but even non-Portuguese speakers are moved by the melodies. “Fado ao Centro” was founded to continue this 150-year-old tradition, primarily through self-written songs.
