Max Raabe & Palast Orchester

Thu, May 9, 2024, 20:00
Laeiszhalle, Großer Saal (Hamburg)
Max Raabe (Vocals), Palast Orchester
It’s amazing how the question »Who’s in a bad mood here?« always puts people in a good mood, regardless of their individual state of mind. Max Raabe & Palast Orchester’s new tour »Wer hat hier schlechte Laune« has the same effect. No matter what the mood is before the concert, afterwards the audience always leaves the hall with a smile.

What is his solo programme »Alles im Wunderland« about? »Maybe the madness of our time will be dealt with in its usual insidious, absurd, extreme left-wing and silly way. Or maybe not. Laeiszhalle, Großer Saal (Hamburg)
Klaus Hoffmann (Guitar), Klaus Hoffmann (Vocals), Michael Brandt (Guitar), Hawo Bleich (Piano), Hawo Bleich (Keyboard), Peter Keiser (Bass), Walter Keiser (Drums)
Klaus Hoffmann has been on stage for around 50 years and sounds fresher than ever on his 50th album »Flügel«. And he always remains true to himself. The Berlin songwriter and singer has composed and written fourteen new songs for it. He once again proves himself to be a great storyteller and subtle observer of our increasingly disturbing present. And every single song is so precisely and radiantly arranged that one can only say: Caution, potentially addictive! When you listen to Klaus Hoffmann’s songs, your mind and soul open up. Boundless, infinite, you suddenly feel the vastness of the world. You fly up to the sky and look beyond the horizon at the sea. You are immersed in a cosmos of the most diverse feelings. From elated melancholy, sadness and pain to touching happiness and the greatest love. All wrapped up in this irresistible mix of chanson, jazz, Latin and pop, which knows how to surprise musically nuanced with ever new sound colours and seems to unite all the melodies between North and South, East and West. You can always hear German solemnity and the shimmering melancholy of Irish folklore, as well as Mediterranean lightness and French charm in his songs.
