Peter Kraus celebrates his 85th birthday in 2024! With his major and very successful tour in 2023, the »eternally young« and exceptional artist already said goodbye to touring life in the spring of 2023. But the passion for music, stage air and closeness to the audience remains. A thoroughbred musician like Peter Kraus lives and loves and needs the stage. And so the superstar of the wild 50s and 60s is »gifting« himself and all his fans a series of concerts in selected concert halls for this special anniversary. Peter Kraus’s »Rockin’ 85!« promises to be a rousing »limited edition« in the truest sense of the tour title!

Götz Alsmann & Band

After the latest studio album entitled »L.I.E.B.E.« with a tour of the same name and the musical excursions »In Paris« (2011), »On Broadway« (2014) and »In Rome« (2017), the king of the jazz hits Götz Alsmann is back at the Laeiszhalle with a new programme in 2024. The band that assists Götz Alsmann at the concerts consists of musicians, most of whom have been part of the ensemble for decades. At literally thousands of concerts, they have participated in Alsmann’s everlasting commitment to the jazz hit. Their place in music history is assured.

Klaus Hoffmann & Band

Klaus Hoffmann has been on stage for around 50 years and sounds fresher than ever on his 50th album »Flügel«. And he always remains true to himself. The Berlin songwriter and singer has composed and written fourteen new songs for it. He once again proves himself to be a great storyteller and subtle observer of our increasingly disturbing present. And every single song is so precisely and radiantly arranged that one can only say: Caution, potentially addictive! When you listen to Klaus Hoffmann’s songs, your mind and soul open up. You can’t really learn passion and talent – Max Mutzke has both in abundance. He has a gift for captivating audiences and the exceptional German talent from the Black Forest has been proving this impressively time and time again for 20 years. When this powerhouse meets the multiple Grammy-nominated SWR Big Band, the result is an energetic spectacle of talent and skill that literally sweeps you off your feet. Combined with an irrepressible joy of playing, no two evenings are the same and each time is an exclusive experience for the audience. An evening that offers a mix of Mutzke hits such as »Welt hinter Glas«, »Can’t wait until tonight«, or »Marie« as well as soul & hip-hop classics such as »Me & Mrs Jones« and songs by Alicia Keys, Will Smith, Anderson Paak or Sly & The Family Stone.

Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester

Under conductor Ingo Metzmacher, the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester combines microtonal orchestral music with cosmic late Romanticism – and, in Anton Bruckner, Richard Wagner and Luigi Nono, three of the most headstrong characters in musical history.

Vicente Amigo & band

It goes without saying that The Concertgebouw and jazz & pop music make a perfect combination. The stages of both the Main Hall and the Recital Hall have borne witness to nearly the whole of jazz history. Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald have both performed here, as have Miles Davis and Louis Armstrong. Famous pop stars and bands that have graced the stage of the Main Hall include Frank Zappa, the Doors and the Eagles, to name but a few. Legendary concerts, in the present as well as the past.

Götz Alsmann & Band

The wisdom of proverbs and pop songs remain eternal truths... No wonder Götz Alsmann makes the night the centre of the evening on his new album and in his current programme. Or the evening as the highlight of the day? To this end, he draws on exquisite gems from the history of pop music, melancholic and humorous gems from 1910 to 1965 – and he does it differently to everyone else. It is not for nothing that the singer and pianist Götz Alsmann is regarded as the »King of German jazz schlager«.
