The renowned Hamburg choir 50 Voices has been enchanting audiences with its unique sound for 35 years. This winter, the motto is: Unplugged – pure with piano. The 50 singers are looking forward to presenting their varied repertoire of funk, soul, pop and gospel, including touching classics and rousing new arrangements, in the Recital Hall of the Laeiszhalle. Under the direction of Lerato Shadare, Andreas Paulsen and Christian Schicht, the audience can expect a concert in a class of its own: 50 Voices, an evening full of emotion, energy and pure singing.

Amsterdam Sinfonietta invites singer and pianist Karsu for the annual, successful New Year's tour. With her unique mix of pop, jazz and Turkish music, she has performed in more than twenty countries worldwide, performed three times in Carnegie Hall in New York and played at North Sea Jazz. She received an Edison in 2016 for her album Colors. Her participation in the TV program Best Singers in 2021 has kept millions of viewers glued to the TV. Her rendition of Hijo de la Luna and Je suis malade hit number 1 on several charts. Thanks to her popularity in Turkey, all here concerts there are sold out within a blink of an eye. In the New Year's tour, her pop, jazz and Turkish music merge with string music.

As the first symphony orchestra, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin started an interactive livestream series on the gaming platform twitch in April 2021.The monthly two-hour livestreams are called „Spielzeit" and had 1.34 million views so far. For an average of 3.000 viewers, members of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin play music, explain their instruments and offer glimpses into their professional daily life.

Led by Candida Thompson, Amsterdam Sinfonietta brings together 23 gifted chamber musicians, embodying ensemble-playing at the highest level. Nostalgia for Italy runs through this evening: „The sun shines in all its splendour… at last, I feel a magical change within me,“ Tchaikovsky wrote while visiting the Italian city of Florence. „Souvenir de Florence“ is a tribute to the city he adored, music brimming over with love and joy. The young pianist Bruce Liu, who won first prize at the Chopin Competition in 2021, makes his debut with Amsterdam Sinfonietta, performing works by Chopin – his second piano concerto and the virtuosic Polonaise brillante – both in versions for piano and string orchestra.

Zeitgenössische Musik in sinfonischer Besetzung, das ist die Spezialität der Basel Sinfonietta. Das Programm dieses Abends führt in außergewöhnliche Klangwelten, durch zerklüftete Landschaften und unbekannte Universen.In ARCHORA spürt die isländische Komponistin Anna Thorvaldsdottir nicht nur den eisigen Landschaften ihrer Heimat nach, sondern findet auch faszinierende Klänge für fremde Galaxien wie aus einem Science-Fiction-Epos, während Olivier Messiaen mit einer Besetzung aus Holz- und Blechbläsern plus Schlagwerk den Opfern der beiden Weltkriege gedenkt. Mit einer Musik, die mal religiös, mal von der Natur inspiriert ist – in einem ohne Streicher geschärften Klanggewand. Dazwischen steht Musik ganz nah am Puls der Zeit, mit einem neuen Werk von Leo Dick, der ebenso wie die Basel Sinfonietta aus Basel stammt. Gefördert durch das Kuratorium KölnMusik e.V.

Die Eisler Sinfonietta wurde 2018 als Kammerensemble der Hochschule von Prof. Nawri gegründet und präsentiert regelmäßig Orchesterrepertoire in Ensemblebearbeitungen., Annika Konitzki (Bühnenbild), Muriel Kunkel (Kostümbild), Pia Syrbe (Dramaturgie), Lea Willeke (Director), Gesangstudierende, Eisler Sinfonietta, Manuel Nawri Musikalische (Director)
„Der Kaiser von Atlantis“ ist eine Kammeroper von Viktor Ullmann, entstanden 1943/44 im Ghetto Theresienstadt und 1975 uraufgeführt in Amsterdam. Der Kaiser von Atlantis will alles menschliche Leben mit sinnlosen Kriegen vernichten, aber der Tod verweigert seine Dienste, will nicht länger Handlanger eines Tyrannen sein, und die Soldaten können nicht mehr sterben. Damit hat der Kaiser keine Macht mehr über die Menschen, weil sie ihn nicht fürchten müssen. Das Libretto verfasste Ullmann zusammen mit seinem Mithäftling Peter Kien in der unmenschlichen Lagerhaft von Theresienstadt, wo Viktor Ullmann viele seiner Kompositionen schrieb. Dieser Nachlass blieb nahezu vollständig erhalten, während sein Werk ansonsten zu großen Teilen verloren ging. Der österreichische Komponist wurde im Vernichtungslager Auschwitz-Birkenau ermordet.
