Daniel Hope, a renowned violinist and entertainer, welcomes guests to the Philharmonie Essen for "A Very Warm Welcome." Joined by the Belgrade Chamber Orchestra and singers Lisa Wittig and Bettina Ranch, he'll present a festive program featuring music from Bach to Humperdinck, alongside arrangements of international Christmas classics.
As Christmas approaches, the well-known ensemble Czech Chamber Philharmonia of Prague presents an out-of-the-ordinary musical event: the festive »Christmas Gala of Favourite Classics«, featuring a selection of great orchestral works by world-famous composers. The orchestra joins forces with four top Prague opera singers to put on a concert that combines radiant elegance with a reflective Yuletide mood.
Star mezzo-soprano Elina Garanca effortlessly blends delicate lieder and dramatic opera arias in a diverse recital exploring love's facets. From Brahms' melancholic Seelenbilder and Schumann's Frauenliebe und Leben to passionate portrayals by Berlioz, Saint-Saëns, and Mascagni, culminating in the fiery temperament of Spanish Zarzuelas, Garanca, accompanied by pianist Matthias Schulz, showcases her vocal prowess.
