Berühmte Beispiele der Opernwelt sind Verdis »Gefangenenchor« oder Wagners »Matrosenchor«. Aber auch das Musical hat in Sachen mitreißender Chorpartien einiges zu bieten. WDR Rundfunkchor und WDR Funkhausorchester präsentieren die schönsten Chöre aus Musical und Oper – von »Nabucco« bis »Troubadour«, von »Les Misérables« bis »Phantom der Oper«.

The grand tour production of "The Phantom of the Opera" returns with a star-studded cast and a completely new musical arrangement. Awarded the Golden Sun 2023 by Sonnenklar TV, the production features world star Deborah Sasson and German musical star Uwe Kröger. The musical has been reimagined with new music by British composer Ryan Martin and impressive stage design by Daniel Stryjecki and Michael Scott. This version stays true to the original novel while incorporating operatic elements, creating a unique blend of opera and musical theater.

The story follows Belle, who lives in the castle after her father picks a rose. Belle's initial fear turns to curiosity as she discovers the Beast's soft side. She questions the mysterious prince in the mirror and the enchanted beings.
