Zwischen West und Ost. »… der arabischen 4« hat Nicolaus A. Huber ein Werk gewidmet, das er als Aufforderung zum kulturellen Austausch verstanden wissen will. Das Orchesterstück »Vapur« von Stefan Pohlit trägt den Namen der Passagierfähren in Istanbul, die das Festland mit den Inseln an der Nahtstelle zwischen Orient und Okzident verbinden. Von der mystischen Ausrichtung des Islam inspiriert, steuert der palästinensisch-israelische Komponist Samir Odeh-Tamimi ein Konzentrat seiner Beschäftigung mit Koran-Gesängen und Sufi-Musik bei. Dazwischen Johannes Moser mit dem neuen Cellokonzert des Österreichers Bernd Richard Deutsch, das im Auftrag des Tonkünstler-Orchesters und des hr-Sinfonieorchesters entstand. Dies ist der Stoff, aus dem dieses Forum N unter Leitung von Brad Lubman seinen besonderen Reiz und seine musikalische Strahlkraft gewinnt.Konzertdauer: ca. 105 Minuten – inklusive Pause

Vivaldis 4-Jahreszeiten

Oksana Lyniv | Mendelssohn 4

The Ukrainian conductor Oksana Lyniv has recently drawn much attention and acclaim. Now she will head the BRSO for the first time. For her début she has chosen Mozart’s E-flat major Sinfonie concertante for violin and viola (K. 364) – a grand, moving dialogue between two string instruments, played by Jehye Lee (leader of the seconds) and Tobias Reifland (solo violist) and accompanied by the exquisite Mozart sound of their orchestra. Mendelssohn’s Fourth Symphony, with its riveting Italianate flair, conveys a high-spirited, effervescent joi de vivre, mingled in the second movement by a pensive orchestral “song without words” on Es war ein König in Thule. A third movement with romantic horn passages is followed by the madcap finale, a swirling saltarello again firmly rooted in Italy.

4 Feinde

The four best newcomers of a new comedy generation should actually be competitors or enemies, but they have joined forces to form the comedy collective »4 Feinde« (Four Enemies) to turn the German comedy landscape upside down. In established formats such as , They have already won the most important newcomer awards at well-known comedy clubs such as NightWash in Lübeck and the Quatsch Comedy Club in Hamburg, and now present their best material in a joint show at the Laeiszhalle.

Kammerkonzert 4

Beethoven's Trio op. 11 was nicknamed the "Gassenhauer Trio" due to its popular variation theme. The program spans Bruch's clarinet trio pieces and Poulenc's Duo to saxophonist Daniel Schnyder's "Worlds Beyond", blending classical, avant-garde, and jazz. Four bassoons feature in Wynton Marsalis' composition, showcasing this rarely solo instrument.

Kammerkonzert 4

Works by Say, Françaix, and Dvořák featuring Matvey Demin (flute), Anne Angerer (oboe), Ivo Ruf (clarinet), and others. The program includes Say's "Alevi Fathers on the Rakı Table" for wind quintet, Françaix's Wind Quintet No. 1, and Dvořák's String Quintet in G major, Op. 77.

Mendelssohns Violinkonzert | Brahms 4. Sinfonie

Als neuer Chefdirigent des Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra wird Julian Rachlin in der Doppelfunktion als Dirigent und Solist das Violinkonzert von Mendelssohn interpretieren, eine nicht zu unterschätzende Aufgabe; im 2. Teil des Konzerts widmet er sich der letzten Sinfonie von Brahms, der Vierten: Die Tonart e-Moll bestimmt dieses Konzert!

Simone Young & Brahms 3 & 4

The second part of our Brahms cycle, which Herbert Blomstedt, who is still in convalescence, unfortunately had to cancel, will be conducted by Simone Young. The Australian has been one of the most important conductors of our time for many decades. She regularly makes guest appearances at all leading opera houses and concert halls and will conduct the Ring des Nibelungen at the Bayreuth Festival for the first time this summer.
