The Hamburger Abendblatt wrote afterwards: »Herman took the Elbphilharmonie by storm.« Now he is celebrating his 80th birthday in the Laeiszhalle.

His vast repertoire spans music, books, plays, and painting. He's received numerous awards, including the Silver Bear, Golden Camera, Order of Oranien-Nassau, Dutch Lion, Federal Cross of Merit, Martin Buber Plaque, Münchhausen Prize, and Joachim Ringelnatz Prize.
