Farewell Robin Ticciati
Date & Time
Sat, Nov 16, 2024, 20:00»Noise, scandal, mischief, subversion!« the press railed in 1895 about the Berlin premiere of Gustav Mahler’s Second Symphony. Some 120 years later, the original score of the ›Resurrection Symphony‹ sold at auction at Sotheby’s for EUR 5.3 million. Back then, it was conducted in Berlin by the composer himself. Now Robin Ticciati will bid his adieu as DSO Music Director with this revolutionary work, which surpasses all the usual dimensions and today is one of Mahler’s most popular symphonies.
