Philharmonie Leipzig

Wed, Apr 1, 2026, 20:00
Laeiszhalle, Großer Saal (Hamburg)
Philharmonie Leipzig, Holger Engelhardt (Violin)
The performance of Antonio Vivaldi’s most famous work, »The Four Seasons«, is a fascinating multimedia experience for the whole family. The piece is performed by the Leipzig Philharmonic Orchestra, while breathtaking aerial images from »Germany from Above« are shown on a large screen. This presentation is perfectly coordinated and represents a completely new kind of presentation. From the Zugspitze to the Wadden Sea, viewers can experience the seasons from a bird’s eye view: spring with blooming landscapes, summer over the North Sea with its beaches and islands, autumn with the colourfulness of the forests and winter with the tranquillity of snow-covered mountain peaks and cities. The experience is complemented by the performance of soloist Holger Engelhardt and the accompaniment of the fantastic musicians of the Leipzig Philharmonic Orchestra. It is a musical and visual synthesis of the arts that has never before been experienced in this form.
