Martynas Levickis "Best of Piazzolla"

A young Argentinian man travels to Europe to improve his composing skills. His teacher, Nadia Boulanger, is impressed by his tango, encouraging him to stay true to his style. Back in South America, Astor Piazzolla founds a groundbreaking ensemble in 1955, developing "Tango Nuevo." Lithuanian Martynas Levickis, an "Opus Klassik" winner, follows in Piazzolla's footsteps, showcasing his accordion skills.

Through the ages we have been fascinated by the horrid, ghastly and grotesque.Orvar Säfström and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra wander into the darkest, winding corridors of madness where the dead have come to life and the servants of evil hold court. The Horror is a film score concert out of the ordinary. Alexander Hanson leads the forces and we also hear Swedish soprano Sabina Zweiacker.The Horror is a concert by Overlord Productions, and not suitable for younger children.

The "Recycling Concerto" was originally scheduled as "Junges Konzert" in Alte Oper Frankfurt on November 9, 2023, will now take place as "Junges Konzert Extra" in hr-Sendesaal on November 8, 2023. Percussionist Vivi Vassileva will play instruments made of recycled waste materials like plastic, glass, metal, and coffee capsules. The concert lasts about 100 minutes including intermission.
