Composer and jazz drummer Wolfgang Haffner is going on tour with a new formation in 2024 and will release the band’s album »Life Rhythm« in autumn. The line-up alone speaks for itself, as he is now creating musical magic with an all-star line-up from the German jazz scene. In addition to the long-standing members of his trio, Simon Oslender on keyboards and Thomas Stieger on bass, he is joined by the celebrated Berlin trumpeter Sebastian Studnitzky. Haffner has a long-standing instrumental friendship with the latter, documented on many of his twenty albums as bandleader, such as »Kind of Spain«, »Round Silence« and »Silent World«.

When Thomas Quasthoff brings his new programme »For You« to life, he is above all one thing – absolutely authentic. Quasthoff has a sure sense for the most suitable style of what he sings. This applies to opera arias, art and folk songs as well as jazz, pop and soul. He has long since proven that, as a classical singer with an enormously versatile bass-baritone, he can also master genres rooted in the African-American musical tradition.
