A diverse international group of outstanding soloists, sponsored by the UK's Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT), is causing a stir. Schubert's magnificent Octet demonstrates a beautiful complement of wind and string instruments, bridging to the present. Inspired by it, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor composed his romantic Nonet. YCAT-Collective musicians continue to inspire audiences.

Free Lunchtime Concert: Young Classical Artist Trust

For many years now, Lunchtime Concerts have been held in the Main Hall and the Recital Hall. The concerts range from public rehearsals by the Concertgebouworkest, to chamber music performances by young up-and-coming artists.For Lunchtime Concerts you will require a free ticket, which you can buy online. Doors to the concert hall open about 30 minutes before the Lunchtime Concert starts.We offer a broad range of music: the majority of concerts include classical music, but you can sometimes hear more modern repertoire. The concert programme is announced one week in advance on our website. The concerts last thirty minutes and are free of charge. Visitors are advised that these concerts are suitable for children from six years old.

With five distinct voices and a unique and trendsetting sound, this celebrated ensemble has given over 3,000 concerts worldwide, released 24 critically acclaimed albums and continuously put to the test what can be achieved with voices as the sole instrument since forming in 1984.They are now celebrating 40 years by welcoming original members Margareta Bengtson, Katarina Henryson, Anders Edenroth and Peder Karlsson as guest performers. The audience can expect a string of gems from the past 40 years in a unique concert featuring the human voice and a repertoire spanning the complete range of emotions.
