CARNIVAL CONCERT
At the Oslo-filharmoniens family day, the foyer will be abuzz with life and activities in every corner. Try out instruments, conduct an ensemble, compose music, meet the musicians, and get acquainted with the instruments!In 1886, Camille Saint-Saëns decided to write Carnival of the Animals to entertain himself and his guests at a party, recreating the sounds and characteristics of various animals one might find at an animal carnival. Although it was always performed publicly during his lifetime, it is now regarded as one of his best-known works.Director Torunn Tusj comments on the concert: "We have listened closely to the piece and are trying to recreate the magic we hear in the music in a visual universe. We have therefore created a Saint-Saëns fantasy landscape, inviting the audience to listen carefully for the creatures that inhabit it."The concert is performed at 12:30, 13:30, and 14:30 in the Main Hall.For families attending the Family Day with children younger than the recommended age, there is also a small concert in the Small Hall for the youngest children.The concert is performed at 12:30, 13:30, and 14:30 in the Small Hall.Choose your concert when purchasing your ticket.
