Let’s play ‘hot or cold’. Do you know a little boy who’s just getting to know people and the world and to learn about everything? Cold? He has a completely hard body but a soft heart? Still cold? I’ll also say that the little boy has a tendency to err from the truth, and with every lie he tells, his nose gets longer and longer. Warmer? So I’d add that this little boy has good intentions, but succumbs to various temptations – just like all of us! And his Daddy carved him out of an old piece of wood that talked. Hot! Yes, the protagonist of our musical play will be the world’s most famous marionette. Come and meet Pinocchio! Parts: Karolina Iwańska-Paśnicka Wróżka, pani Rosaura Małgorzata Godlewska Lisica, Knocica Marek Murawa Policjant, Dyrektor Teatru, Papuga, Nauczyciel, Dyrektor Cyrku Grzegorz Hardej Pinokio

And at the Philharmonic? FeNek knows that the magic of Christmas lies also in the unique music, which evokes memories of meeting loved ones, singing carols together and having fun in the snow or on the ice. Christmas is about images and sometimes whole films of recorded stories. If you want to feel that special atmosphere, come to the concert at the Warsaw Philharmonic. When magical snow starts to fall in the Concert Hall, the stage and the auditorium will fill with the sounds of carols, winter songs and tunes from those favourite Christmas films we love watching each year. To this concert, bring a hand-made bauble. Bring to the concert… a hand-made bauble

The Sounds of Air

Sun, Apr 6, 2025, 14:00
Filharmonia Narodowa, Chamber Music Hall (Warszawa)
Anita Kander-Marchewka (Flute), Agata Bała (Oboe), Małgorzata Jończyk (Clarinet), Adam Ostrowski (Bassoon), Konrad Gołda (Horn), Gabriel Jasiorowski (Percussion instruments), Barbara Szczęsna-Remisz (Presenter)
The spring wind rustles in the trees, sings merrily in birdsong, chases the clouds away, turns somersaults, fills the fields and meadows with sound... This concert will be filled with music conjured up by wind instruments: the singing flute, the mysterious clarinet, the lyrical oboe, the playful bassoon, the gentle horn and energetic percussion. We’ll blow notes, dance in rhythms, visit the court of a Chinese empress and listen to raindrops falling. Who is curious to know whether the sounds of the air are light as a feather or heavy as a storm? Who wants to find out how to conjure music from the air and look for spring in it?

Małgorzata Nowak (Dance), Bartłomiej Kamiński (Dance), Maciej Kopczyński (Gitara elektryczna), Michał Borowski (Saxophon), Stanisław Łopuszyński (Piano), Marcin Lemiszewski (Percussion), Lidia Szpilewska (Presenter)
Kołysz się i tocz! Do you know such a dance? Its funny name sounds like an instruction, and the whole world knows it – it’s rock and roll. This lively dance was born in North America. During our concert, we’ll talk about the energetic music and about the great friendship and passion that unites two friends. They danced rock and roll from an early age, devoting all their free time to practising. Each tournament brought them closer to realising their dream of making their favourite dance their main occupation and the purpose of their life. Are you curious how this story ended?

A Music Kaleidoscope

Sun, Mar 23, 2025, 14:00
Filharmonia Narodowa, Chamber Music Hall (Warszawa)
Alan Turonek (Trumpet), Michał Zaborski (Viola), Karolina Mysłek (Percussion), Justyna Żołnacz (Piano), Jarosław Praszczałek (Presenter)
Attention! All music lovers are cordially invited to a great display of virtuosity! A trumpet in one corner, percussion in another, and a piano between them. The viola, often underestimated, will try to reconcile them. Each instrument will showcase its unique capabilities. What do you think – will they perform better solo, or is it worth joining forces and playing as an ensemble? Younger and older listeners will be told about the history and construction of these instruments. We’ll also consider why they sound so dignified, while not shying away from numerous musical embellishments.

Have you ever walked around the Old Town in Warsaw and along the cobbled streets from the Castle Square to the New Town Square? If so, you must know that you’ve walked in the footsteps of the old times, when Warsaw became the capital of Poland and King Sigismund III took up residence in the Royal Castle. To find out more about those times, all you have to do is come to the Philharmonic. We’ll tell you what secrets are hidden in the streets of the Old Town, what the fashionable clothes and games used to be. We’ll show you how music was played in the royal chambers and present beautiful instruments characteristic of those times. The concert will include instrumental pieces, court and feast songs, and will be accompanied by historical dance.

Music has the amazing property that it can take us to any corner of the world, without leaving home. FeNek, who has already made thousands of journeys, knows this very well, although he rarely leaves his beloved Philharmonic. Whenever he dreams of a distant voyage, he invites exceptional artists to the stage, who travel to distant countries with every work they perform. And this time will be no different – we will hear Balkan, klezmer, Polish and Spanish rhythms, but not only that... We’ll be whisked away by clarinets, pianos and percussion instruments. If you want to find out where else the music will take us, come to the Philharmonic. And don't forget to bring along... a hand-made rattle. Bring to the concert… a hand-made rattle
