This summer semester, the Eisler is once again hosting the "Forum New Music". The forum invites composition students, instrumental students, and teachers to engage in dialogue. Internationally renowned specialists in contemporary music supervise the rehearsals of the performers and are available to composers and performers for discussions. The forum's final concert will take place in the studio hall on May 10, 2025.

In jedem Jahr eröffnet das hr-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt mit seinem Chefdirigenten in guter Tradition das Rheingau Musik Festival. Im beeindruckenden Klang-Raum der Basilika von Kloster Eberbach entsteht dabei immer eine besondere musikalische Atmosphäre. Auf dem Programm stehen diesmal zwei Meisterwerke der tschechischen Musik: der Orchesterzyklus »Má vlast« von Bedřich Smetana sowie Antonín Dvořáks Violinkonzert mit Christian Tetzlaff als Solisten.

Anstelle des zweiten Eröffnungsabends im Kloster Eberbach gastiert das hr-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt in diesem Jahr im Rahmen des Rheingau Musik Festivals am Sonntag im Kurhaus Wiesbaden. Präsentiert wird dabei im Friedrich-von-Thiersch-Saal ein leicht variiertes Programm mit Ludwig van Beethovens 5. Klavierkonzert im ersten und Bedřich Smetanas Orchesterzyklus »Má vlast« im zweiten Teil. Solist ist an diesem Abend der kanadische Pianist Bruce Liu.

The hr-Symphony Orchestra Frankfurt and its principal conductor Alain Altinoglu will open the Rheingau Music Festival 2025 with Gounod's "St. Cecilia Mass" at Eberbach Monastery on June 21st and works by Ravel at Wiesbaden Kurhaus on June 22nd. Armenian violinist Diana Adamyan and Italian pianist Beatrice Rana will join them, along with the MDR Radio Choir and a trio of vocal soloists.

Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik

The hr-Sinfonieorchester has been associated with the Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik in Darmstadt since its beginnings. At the 51st Darmstadt Summer Courses, it will present exceptional works to course participants from many countries as part of the final concert. Conducted by Pierre Bleuse, the program includes Morton Feldman's "String Quartet and Orchestra" with the Fabrik Quartett, and the world premiere of a new work for turntables and orchestra by Mariam Rezaei and Matthew Shlomowitz.
