The Essen Philharmonic is expanding its concert series to include all music lovers, especially those with dementia, disabilities, or other special needs. Due to increased demand, concerts will now be offered throughout the year, in addition to the traditional Advent and spring concerts. The fall concert will feature pianist Anna Vinnitskaya playing a program of her favorite pieces by composers such as Schubert, Mendelssohn, Ravel, Shostakovich, and Rachmaninoff.

Scheherazade captivated Sultan Schahriar with wondrous tales and songs for 1001 nights, escaping death. Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's "Scheherazade" suite, based on "One Thousand and One Nights", is a colorful composition. The solo violin and harp weave enchanting melodies as Scheherazade narrates, escaping death. Conducted by Andrea Sanguineti, the Essen Philharmonic Orchestra transports listeners to a mystical world.

Einrichtungen der Tagespflege und Heime mit ihren Bewohnerinnen und Bewohnern sind ebenfalls herzlich eingeladen, dieses Konzert zu besuchen.
