Silvesterkonzert 100 Jahre "Rhapsody in Blue"

Tue, Dec 31, 2024, 20:00
Makoto Ozone (Piano), WDR Funkhausorchester, Garrett Keast (Conductor), Daniel Finkernagel (Moderator)
100 years ago, George Gershwin premiered his "Rhapsody in Blue" in New York to a delighted audience, including Stravinsky, Kreisler, and Rachmaninoff. Considered the quintessential American concert piece—joyful, jazzy, sentimental—the WDR Funkhausorchester celebrates its anniversary with a program featuring highlights from Gershwin's Broadway hits, the Rhapsody itself, and other works.
