Following their concerts at the Alte Oper, the hr-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt will tour France in November. Featuring pianist Jan Lisiecki and conductor Alain Altinoglu, they'll perform at four venues: Grand Théâtre de Provence, MC2 Auditorium Grenoble, La Seine Musicale, and La Halle aux Grains. The program includes Dvořák's "In Nature," Grieg's Piano Concerto, and Mussorgsky/Ravel's "Pictures at an Exhibition."

Lucas and Arthur Jussen, two brothers in their mid-twenties from the Netherlands, are known for their magical piano skills and impressive stage presence. They will perform Poulenc's witty and spirited Concerto for Two Pianos in Frankfurt. The concert will also feature Varèse's "Amériques," a loud and impulsive piece inspired by New York City police sirens, showcasing the full potential of a large orchestra and evoking a journey into new worlds.

Following its Frankfurt performance, the hr-Sinfonieorchester will tour Arthur Honegger's oratorio "Jeanne d'Arc au bûcher" to Paris, Vienna, and Hamburg. The cast, including Oscar winner Marion Cotillard as Joan of Arc and the Wiener Singverein, will perform at the Philharmonie de Paris, Musikverein Wien, and Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
