2013 formierten sich in Turin drei Musiker zu einem Ensemble und gaben diesem den Namen Trio Chagall. Gut zehn Jahre später entschieden sie, den Namen zu ändern, um damit ihrer künstlerischen Entwicklung Rechnung zu tragen. Das Zymbal ist ein ziemlich exotisches Instrument, eine Art Hackbrett auf Füßen. Áron Horváth spielt es derart virtuos, dass er bereits mit zwölf Jahren nationale Berühmtheit erlangte. Dass »sein« Instrument tief verwurzelt ist in der Musik seiner ungarischen Heimat, zeigt er mit einem facettenreichen Programm.In diesem Programm darf Béla Bartók als einer der bedeutendsten ungarischen Komponisten natürlich nicht fehlen. In seinem Schaffen hat er sich intensiv mit der traditionellen ungarischen und rumänischen Volksmusik auseinandergesetzt und verwendet in einigen seiner Werke auch den besonderen Klang des Zymbal. Neben György Kurtág, der ebenfalls zu den prominentesten ungarischen Tonschöpfern gehört, sind außerdem ein neues Werk für Zymbal der ungarischen Jazzmusikerin Emma Nagy und Eigenkomposition des Rising Stars, der immer öfter auch als Komponist in Erscheinung tritt, zu erleben. ​»Rising Stars« ist ein Projekt der European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO). Áron Horváth wurde nominiert von Müpa Budapest und Philharmonie Luxembourg.

Fast wäre Giorgi Gigashvili Popsänger geworden, denn mit 13 Jahren gewann er die georgische Ausgabe der Castingshow »The Voice«. Doch dem Klavier blieb er trotzdem treu, zum Glück. Als er ein paar Jahre später einen Klavierwettbewerb mit Martha Argerich als Juryvorsitzender gewann, waren die Weichen endgültig gestellt.Nach dem Studium am staatlichen Konservatorium in seiner Geburtsstadt Tbilisi wechselte er 2023 zu Kirill Gerstein an die Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. Für sein Konzert hat Giorgi Gigashvili ein Programm zusammengestellt, dass an seine Herkunft aus Osteuropa erinnert. Neben den Stücken dreier zentraler russischer Komponisten des 20. Jahrhunderts spielt er ein Auftragswerk von Natalie Beridze, die auch aus Tbilisi stammt und von 2002 bis 2008 in Köln gelebt hat. ​»Rising Stars« ist ein Projekt der European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO). Giorgi Gigashvili wurde nominiert von Kölner Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Dortmund, Philharmonie Luxembourg und NOSPR Katowice.
