Florian Heinisch / Klavierabend

Date & Time
Sun, Jun 16, 2024, 19:30
With this recital, Hamburg pianist Florian Heinisch returns to the Elbphilharmonie once again after acclaimed concerts in 2019 and 2023. The programme is a tribute to the enormous stylistic diversity that has made the musical city of Hamburg a unique force in the world of classical music to this day. »I may have been born in Liverpool, but I grew up in Hamburg« – this statement by John Lennon about his beginnings with the Beatles in the Hanseatic city also fits many biographies and careers in classical music.

Elbphilharmonie, Kleiner Saal (Hamburg)
Florian Krumpöck (Piano)
Following his successful Chopin and Brahms recital, the exceptional Austrian musician, Sony Exclusive Artist and »marvellous pianist« (Daniel Barenboim) returns to the Recital Hall of the Elbphilharmonie with a piano recital entirely dedicated to Franz Liszt on his own Bösendorfer concert grand piano. Krumpöck, who is also giving solo recitals in New York’s Carnegie Hall, the Salle Cortot Paris, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Vienna Musikverein and in Munich and Madrid during the current season, also performs as a conductor in leading concert halls and opera houses and enchants his audiences particularly in his dual role as pianist and conductor. His second solo programme at the Elbphilharmonie is all about captivating virtuosity, orchestral sound and the most intimate, soulful moments.
