Plácido Domingo performs again at the Elbphilharmonie. The gala concert »Thank You, Hamburg« will be his last major concert in the Free and Hanseatic City, with which the world star has many ties. The programme includes a special selection of arias and duets from the singer’s extensive repertoire and unique career. Plácido Domingo’s Hamburg stage debut was over 50 years ago: in January 1967, he made his European debut at the Hamburg State Opera in Puccini’s »Tosca«, where the tenor made his breakthrough to international stardom in 1975 with his debut as Otello in Giuseppe Verdi’s opera.
