Martynas Levickis / Festival Strings Lucerne / Bomsori
Elbphilharmonie, Großer Saal (Hamburg)
Be it forest sounds or folk songs, Bach or the Beatles: Martynas Levickis has a command of many languages on the accordion. And he has given ample proof in his young career that his »squeeze box« is good for much more than beer-tent music. Awarded several prizes, fêted by the press and wooed by concert halls and festivals alike, the Lithuanian has successfully established his instrument on the classical music stage. In Hamburg Levickis appears in a duo with the violinist Bomsori, internationally praised for her sophisticated and many-faceted playing. These two talented musicians delight the audience with a varied programme ranging from Tartini to Piazzolla.
