The Sinfonietta Rīga, founded in 2006, brings together musicians trained in Latvia and the Baltic States with young musicians from Western Europe to form a »multifunctional workshop for the performance of works for string and wind instruments«. In addition to Haydn, the Sinfonietta Rīga will also be performing two contemporary works by composers Maija Einfelde from Latvia and Justė Janulytė from Lithuania at their guest concert at the invitation of the TheaterGemeinde Hamburg.
