Due to illness, conductor Ivan Repušić has been replaced by Jader Bignamini. The program remains unchanged and features Simone Lamsma performing Bruch's Violin Concerto. The concert also includes Dora Pejačević's Symphony, presented two days before the 100th anniversary of her death. Pejačević, the first woman in Croatia to compose orchestral works, created music blending Fin de siècle, Mahler, and Rachmaninoff influences. The concert, conducted by Bignamini with the hr-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, explores themes of captivation and self-assuredness, also reflected in Strauss's Don Juan. The concert duration is approximately 120 minutes.
