Jan Lisiecki is known for often playing with his eyes closed. It is said that one can hear better this way. But that is not his main intention: "I am not acting when I do it." He simply loves to create music with closed eyes and to build worlds. Particularly special worlds are created when he plays Beethoven, as he always discovers something new, he says, and this certainly applies to Beethoven's Second and Fourth Piano Concertos, which will be heard in this concert. Together with the famous Academy of St Martin in the Fields, which he also leads. Will he close his eyes while conducting?

Invited by the Dresden Philharmonic in cooperation with DK Deutsche Klassik.
