Folkwang Musikschule in der Philharmonie

The Folkwang Music School and Essen Philharmonic present an afternoon of music. Over 500 children, young people, and adults showcase their talents. The music school presents its four divisions: music, dance, drama, and visual arts. Anna Vinnitskaya opens the music school day with music student Antonia Kahleyß on violin.

"Der Ochse auf dem Dach - Ist das ein Beat?"

Berlin-based actress, director, and author Christine Marx, collaborating with pianist/composer Orlando Bass and saxophonist Eudes Bernstein, created a program for children and curious parents. Featuring piano and saxophone, it introduces children to rhythms and genres through stories and interactive games, exposing them to famous modern classical compositions in a child-friendly way.

Children will dive into sound worlds, exciting stories, become rhythm researchers, and discover melodies. Participation and singing are just as important as listening attentively. Together with students from the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music Berlin and the Jazz Institute Berlin, children will explore all facets of music, get to know instruments, relax on cushions, or dance around the room.

Die Absolventen

rbb's Radio3 relaunches its live series "Die Absolventen" in the rbb rooftop lounge. The show features promising students from the Eisler and Berlin University of the Arts with their professors. The rbb Dachlounge, a broadcast studio, restaurant, and rooftop bar, offers a unique experience. Recordings will air on December 28th at 2 pm on Radio3.
