Sie sind ein Klassik-Hit und haben ihren Schöpfer weltberühmt gemacht. Doch nicht in ihrem Original, erst in der Orchesterfassung Maurice Ravels haben Modest Mussorgskijs »Bilder einer Ausstellung« ihren Siegeszug angetreten. Der kantige russische Individualist hatte sie ursprünglich als Klavier-Zyklus komponiert, inspiriert durch eine Ausstellung von Zeichnungen und Bühnenentwürfe seines verstorbenen Freundes Viktor Hartmann.

A small tree needs roots to eat and drink. Eventually it grows into a big tree with strong branches and thick roots. The wood from big trees is used to build lots of things, including musical instruments that produce wonderful sounds. Instruments like recorders, pianos, clarinets, xylophones, violins, guitars, or bassoons. In the concert, we will explore the bassoon and see which songs suit it best.
